Professionalism, communication, integrity, reliability and following through on clients' instructions are Graeme Fitton's golden rules for success in the broking industry.
Graeme has spent 35 years in the industry; the past decade with JMD Ross. He was previously an underwriter, working initially for National Mutual Fire, then Commercial Union (now CGU) after the two insurers merged.
Much of his work at JMD Ross is with schemes, including a retail butchers' scheme for members of the Australian Meat Industry Council and liability schemes for the tourism industry, including tour guides and tour operators. He oversees Medpak, a general business insurance scheme for the medical profession, particularly physiotherapists and podiatrists.
Graeme is service-oriented and enthusiastic about his work. He understands his markets well, and enjoys meeting clients' needs by tailoring programs that suit their businesses. "You have to protect their assets and be there in times of need; that's the bottom line," he says.
Graeme holds a Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking) and is a QPIB.
He loves sport, theatre, concerts, and spending quality time with family and friends.
